Please note: We currently have a waitlist for support. If you receive a confirmation email after submitting your application, rest assured—we have received it. If you meet all eligibility requirements, we will contact you when we are able to begin your campaign. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to serve each child in need.
Eligibility Requirements

A Bed for Izzy, Inc. understands the immense obstacles that are faced when trying to obtain a safety bed for someone in need. For that reason, there is no established income restrictions or diagnostic criteria. However, we do ask that you submit a letter from the applicant's doctor that states the doctor’s recommendation and need for a safety bed and an OT evaluation.

Applicants are limited to Missouri residents.

While we cannot guarantee, the purchase of a bed for every applicant, we will make every effort to help you find the safe sleep solution your family needs.

How Our Fundraising Model Works
At A Bed for Izzy, we believe every child deserves a safe place to sleep—and that communities thrive when they come together to care for one another.
When your family applies for support, our team will carefully review your child’s needs and determine whether a specialized bed is appropriate. If approved, your child will be placed on our waitlist for an upcoming fundraising campaign.
Please note: Due to high demand, we currently have a waitlist. Recipients are selected based on priority of need, taking into account safety concerns, medical complexity, and current sleep conditions. We are committed to transparency and compassion throughout this process, and we will reach out when your child is coming off the waitlist and next in line for a campaign.
Once selected, your child will be featured in a personalized fundraising campaign hosted on our website and social media platforms.
Rather than placing the financial burden solely on the nonprofit, we invite families to partner with us by sharing their child’s story with friends, family, churches, and local networks. This shared model allows your community to rally around your child—while also helping us serve more families over time.
We handle the donation processing, storytelling, campaign creation, and bed ordering—so you’re not alone. Our goal is to remove as many barriers as possible while still engaging the people who care most about your child’s safety and well-being.
