Eli

Eli is a fun-loving and growing 8-year-old from Republic, MO. Eli has Epilepsy, Cerebral Palsy, and Autism. When he first came to his current caregivers, he relied on baby bottles, spent most of his day sleeping, and didn’t yet have the strength to stand or walk. Since then, Eli has blossomed. He now eats solid foods, attends school for a few hours each day, explores his world with curiosity, and brings out his playful personality more and more each day. Even with all this progress, nighttime remains one of Eli’s biggest challenges. He has outgrown a standard twin bed, and even with a floor bed, he often stumbles in the dark as he tries to move around. Eli constantly seeks sensory input, and without the right sleep environment, nights can be unpredictable and unsafe. A safety bed would give Eli the secure and comforting space he needs to rest well and stay safe. It would also bring his caregivers peace of mind—knowing he’s protected from falls, wandering, and nighttime accidents. This bed would be a meaningful step in supporting his continued growth, independence, and confidence. Eli’s family shares this heartfelt message:
“...these kids may learn differently, but they still learn and blossom and need the same things as other kids do. The safer they feel in all respects, the faster they grow.”
Eli loves Mickey Mouse Playhouse, naps in the sun, music, all kinds of food, and joining in on whatever fun is happening around him. With the right safety bed, he can continue to grow, thrive, and experience his world with the security he deserves.

Dawsyn
Meet Dawsyn — a resilient 6-year-old from Monett, MO. She is non-verbal autistic (Level 3) and also has 22q Duplication Syndrome along with two rare gene mutations. Dawsyn loves tickles, music, bubbles, basketball, swimming, swinging, jumping, climbing, spinning, Sesame Street, Frozen 2, and Moana! Last summer, she was approved for a Cubby Bed through Medicaid, but the Tech Hub — the critical component that keeps her safe through the night — was denied. Without the Tech Hub, Dawsyn is at real risk. She has begun pushing her fingers down her throat at night and making herself vomit while in her crib. Her parents try to monitor her with a baby monitor, but they often don’t hear it in time and fear she could choke without them knowing. The Tech Hub provides unique sensing features that allow them to monitor her safety in real time. They’ve exhausted every option through insurance and Medicaid and have now turned to A Bed for Izzy for help.
With your support, we can provide the Tech Hub Dawsyn urgently needs to sleep safely.
